We want environments where every child, regardless of background, ability, or circumstance, can flourish. We are committed to fostering a network of leaders who champion inclusive values and embed them into everyday practices within local communities, organisations and education settings.

Empowering Leaders

We aim to support leaders who are dedicated to promoting inclusivity by equipping them with the tools, knowledge, and networks needed to develop inclusive leadership and practices through challenging the status quo and creating meaningful and sustainable change in their institutions.

Fostering Communities and Education Settings

By sharing best practices and research-informed strategies, we want to create a ripple effect where local education providers and communities embrace diversity and inclusion, creating environments where all students feel valued and supported.

Influencing Policy and Practice

Through roundtables, consultations, and research dissemination, the ILA aims to shape education policy and inform professional practice to make inclusion a central focus in education reform at local, regional, and national levels.

Building Collaborative Networks

We seek to establish strong, active partnerships between educational leaders across all phases and sectors. Through these connections, leaders will collaborate to create local hubs, share insights, and support one another in implementing inclusive practices.

The Leeds Learning Alliance was formed in 2019 by a group of organisations who shared a commitment to inclusion in the city of Leeds.

The LLA now represents over 65 organisations, with its members looking after over 125,000 learners in the city. The private sector is also represented by dozens of companies from the financial, tech, and construction industries.
